And as our technological innovations continue to facilitate our customers’ work, we are always one step closer to the future. Get right on track with us!

Meet us in Orlando

From 28 to 31 August Frauscher will be participating in the AREMA 2016 in Orlando, Florida. Apart from a broad range of technical presentations, there will be over 200 exhibits from various railway contractors and suppliers worldwide. Frauscher will introduce visitors to its most reliable and modern axle counter, the Frauscher Advanced Counter FAdC, as well as to its versatile Wheel Sensor RSR110.

Modernizing the Whittier Tunnel

At 13,300 feet, the Whittier Tunnel is the longest combined rail and highway tunnel in North America. When the Alaska Railroad Corporation decided to modernize the tunnel’s signaling system, the objective was to replace existing track circuits that were deemed unreliable. Frauscher’s latest axle counting technology provided the highly-reliable train detection solution the Alaska Railroad Corporation needed.

FAdC

The Frauscher Advanced Counter FAdC features functional modularity, flexible scalability and an Ethernet-based interface that allows a wide range of configurations. The software interface enables the FAdC to be integrated effectively into higher-level systems offering great flexibility in terms of design and communications. System integrators and rail operators will benefit equally from significant advantages.

RSR110

Our easily-integrated and highly reliable wheel sensors help maximize uptime and achieve cost-effective operation across a wide range of applications. The open interface eases implementation into new or existing systems, providing great flexibility to meet individual application requirements. The development and production of the entire sensor family RSR110 adheres to international standards to assure optimum operation under all conditions.

Track more with less

As a leader in technology for wheel sensors and axle counters in the railroad industry, Frauscher Sensor Technology is all about making it easier for rail operators and system integrators in North America and around the world to obtain the information they need. Our key concern is to provide continuous safe and reliable train detection, therefore constant innovation, maximum quality and an above-average customer focus are vital to our mission statement.

The complete spectrum of our services encompasses individual application and project design, as well as installation and commissioning support. A comprehensive training program enables operators to install the wheel detection and axle counting systems independently, operate them on a long-term basis, maintain them and even configure them where necessary. This guarantees maximum independence and minimal life cycle costs.
